I'm so glad you're here!

I am so excited to get together soon for your senior session! Through my years of being a photographer I've learned what looks great in photos and what doesn't look great - which is why I created this style guide! This guide is mostly for senior sessions, but some advice can translate over to other sessions. Follow along for some advice on what I recommend prior to your session!

if you take one thing from this guide...

Make sure it's this - Be yourself! These sessions should reflect you and your beautiful family! Great clothing choices enhance the photos, but the most important things are that you're surrounded by the ones you love and you're having a great time! I'll make you look amazing no matter what!

Bring a change of clothes!

Senior sessions are fun in the way that we can be as 'you' as you want to be! Bring something casual you wear all the time, and feel comfortable in. And then bring something a little fancy - maybe a dress or a nice jacket. Or if you already have your cap & gown let's incorporate that! The possibilities are endless!!

think about your layers!

Layers are great for the colder months (especially with little ones!). It gives texture and movement to your outfits, without looking too bulky. Think about layering a cardigan on top of a t-shirt or tank top with jeans, or even a flannel! Try to stay away from large jackets. Scarfs, hats, sweaters, tights, blazers, light jackets - the possibilities are endless!

what not to do!

Stay away from graphics and florescent colors. We want these photos to be timeless and stand the test of time - graphics tend to go out of style and will date your photos.

Don't wear things that make you uncomfortable! We want your photos to look as natural and calm as possible, don't wear 8" heels if you don't normally wear them or you might notice the look of pain in your face for years to come.

Try not to be too matchy-matchy! Coordinate, don't match! Wearing the same thing can make the photos look flat and boring - we want excitement and texture in these photos!
